　当講座では，患者中心の全人的医療の実現を目指して，以下のような心理学の研究教育を行っている。いずれも医学，医療，ケ アと接点を有する，心理学の応用分野である。教育においては，心理学の基礎的な内容とともに，医学，医療，ケアに関連する問題にウエイトをおいて授業を進めている。また，心理学的主題を扱った映画を活用したり，病者や高齢者を対象とした面接調査実習（フィールドワーク）を導入したりして，授業への積極的参入と授業内容の理解を促す工夫をしている。こうした授業や実習を通して，人間のこころや行動の理解，病者・患者の理解，対人コミュニケーションのスキル，さらに心理学的な視点や方法論などが学べるよう教授している。

In order to realize holistic medicine based on humanity, we research the following psychological themes, and teach psychological subjects for medicine and care. These themes of research and education are applied fields of psychology, which are related to medical science.
Especially in education, we teach basic contents of psychology, and problems relevant to medical treatment. Utilizing the movies about psychological subjects, and the interview investigation with the patient and the aged, we devise a method of teaching in order to promote students' understanding of a lecture. Through such classes and practices, students can learn human behavior and mentality, the understanding of being ill and being a patient, interpersonal communication skills, and moreover a point of view and methodology of psychology.

4) Analysis of the influence of interpersonal support on the mental health and psychological well-being of the aged.
5) Psychotherapeutic approaches to the elderly with senile dementia.
