当講座は，超音波・CT・MRI・血管造影・核医学検査などの当 院外来および入院にて行われる全ての画像診断と，高エネルギー X線や電子線などを用いた放射線治療，さらに低侵襲治療の主を なすInterventional Radiology（IVR）を日常臨床として担当して いる。放射線科病床は８床あり，肝細胞癌等のIVR目的の患者が 大多数を占める。全身の画像診断および低侵襲治療を行う当講座 の特徴上，研究テーマは多岐にわたるが，動脈瘤等血管系疾患の 血管内治療，肝癌・膵癌に対する選択的動注療法を含めた化学療 法の確立，そしてDynamic CT・MRI 画像と悪性腫瘍の分子生物 学的・組織学的構築との関連に主眼を置いている。

　The clinical work of our department includes radiological diagnosis, such as ultrasound, CT, MRI, angiography, and nuclear medicine, radiation therapy and interventional radiology (IVR). We have 8 beds for in-patients who must undergo IVR.
　Our research deals with radiological diagnosis of disease of whole organs and minimally invasive therapy. Emphasis is placed on the endovascular catheter treatment for the vascular diseases, such as cerebral aneurysms, the establishment of standard chemotherapy, including a selective Tran arterial method for hepatocellular carcinomas or pancreatic carcinomas, and the clarification of the relationship between dynamic CT/MRI images and the molecular biology/ histpathology of malignant tumors.
