　本院で使用されている病院情報管理システム（BUNGO；電子カルテ）の設計，導入，運用管理を担当している。設計，導入に当たっては，関係する病院職員とシステムベンダの間に入って意見調整を行い院内の運用の変更も含めたシステム化を図っている。 サーバの三重化，電源の二重化などさまざまな対応をとって病院情報システムが停止することのないよう努めている。病院職員に対し新しいシステムの説明や研修，情報セキュリティや個人情報保護の研修を，学部学生に対し病院情報システムの概要，情報セ キュリティ，個人情報保護，臨床実習前学生や新任の研修医や看護師に対し病院情報システムの概要と利用上の注意事項について オリエンテーションを行っている。病院情報システムを診療現場が使いやすい形で，また病院経営上効果的に導入するために，最新のIT技術の動向，標準化の動向，厚生労働省や電子政府の動向などの調査研究を行っている。情報セキュリティについても最新情報の収集を行い，情報漏えいや不正アクセスの侵入が起きることのないように努力している。また，一枚の胸部単純Ｘ線のコン ピュータ処理（強調処理ソフトを使う肺癌結節強調法，工学部川口剛教授と共同研究の左右反転画像を用いる対側差分法）による早期肺癌検出の研究も行っている。

　We cover the development, the introduction and the management of the integrated hospital information system of the university hospital (BUNGO). The BUNGO is developed in cooperation with many hospital personnel. Many devices are structured to prevent the stop of the BUNGO. The presentation and training of the fresh system, the information security and the protection of personal identified information to the staff in the hospital, the outline of the BUNGO, the information security, and the personal identified information to the medical students, the outline and cautious points of the BUNGO to the students of clinical clerkship are lectured. The current information of the information technology, the standardization, the government and the information security management system is researched. The radiological imaging processing using the enhancement and contralateral subtraction techniques in only one chest radiograph is also studied for the detection of early peripheral lung cancers.
