講座の概要
- 口腔がん：口腔扁平上皮癌の浸潤・転移機序を，がん細胞と細胞外マトリックスの相互作用，細胞接着因子と増殖因子の関わりについての研究。
- 口唇・口蓋裂：顎発育に影響の少ない口蓋形成術改良（２段階法）の研究。葉酸摂取量と口唇口蓋裂児発生頻度に関する疫学的研究。
- 口腔前癌病変：口腔白板症のがん化に関わる遺伝子群に関する研究。
- 顎骨再建：再生医療技術を応用した培養骨の作製とそれを用いた顎骨再建を目指した研究。
- 顎変形症：骨延長が神経・筋機能に与える影響に関する研究
Outline of Department
- Oral cancer: Our aim of oral cancer research is to understand the involvement of cancer cell-extracellular matrix (ECM) interaction in the invasion and metastasis of oral squamous carcinoma cells. We search adhesion molecules and growth factors affecting and modulating the cell-ECM interaction.
- Cleft lip and palate: Development of modified palatoplasty with minimal adverse effect on the growth of maxillary bone. Epidemiological study on a relationship between folic acid intake of pregnant women and the occurrence of cleft babies.
- Precancerous lesions: Genomic background of malignant transformation of oral leukoplakia.
- Mandibular reconstruction: Preliminary study aiming mandibular reconstruction with cultured bone tissue, which was prepared by bioengineering technique.
- Maxillo-facial deformity: Study of the influence of distraction osteogenesis to nerve and muscle functions.
