講座の概要
本講座は，総合診療学，消化器内科学，消化器内視鏡学の３分野からなる。主な研究内容
- アジアにおけるHelicobacter pylori感染と胃癌との関連。
- カプセル内視鏡によるNSAIDs と小腸病変の関連。
- 胃食道逆流症（GERD）と食道内圧の検討。
- 生活習慣病や動脈硬化とHelicobacter pylori感染の関連。
- アルツハイマー病の危険因子の探究。
- 認知症の周辺症状と漢方薬による治療。
- 骨粗しょう症の治療と疼痛軽減効果。
- Helicobacter pylori 感染および除菌による胃粘膜の炎症変化と胃粘膜の遺伝子発現の変化。
- 炎症性腸疾患（IBD）や肝・胆道系疾患における新しい感染症の感染診断。
- 内視鏡の特殊光（NBI など）による早期胃癌の内視鏡診断と病理との対比。
- Helicobacter pylori除菌不成功例に対する再除菌法の確立。
- 潰瘍性大腸炎に対する除菌（ATM）療法の効果。
- 膵・胆道疾患の早期診断と内視鏡的治療法。
現在，Helicobacter pylori 感染症は胃・十二指腸潰瘍の成因としてだけではなく，胃癌・胃MALToma との関連しているとされ，さらには特発性血小板減少性紫斑病や動脈硬化など全身疾患への関連が強く示唆されている。また，他のHelicobacter 属に関する基礎的な研究からHelicobacter pylori 除菌法等の臨床的な研究，更には潰瘍性大腸炎に対する新たな治療法，カプセル内視鏡を用いた研究など幅広く基礎的および臨床的研究を行っている。

- Early diagnosi s and endoscopic treatment of pancreatocholedochal diseases.
- Etiology of inflammatory bowel disease, possibility of infectious diseases.
- Diagnosis of early gastric cancer by means of special endoscopic systems such as NBI.
- Re-treatment for Helicobacter pylori eradication failure.
- Antibiotic combination treatment (ATM therapy) for ulceratiove colitis.
- Endoscopic diagnosis and treatment for pancreatocholedochal diseases.
- Gastro-esophageal reflux disease and pressure of lower esophageal sphincter.
Helicobacter pylori is not only associated with peptic ulcer but also gastric carcinoma and Gastric MALToma, and may be associated with some general diseases such as thrombocytopenic purpura and atherosclerosis. Our research covers from clinical to basic areas of Helicobacter species, inflammatory bowel diseases, and endoscopic studies etc.
