小児の健康と発育に関する研究
  1. 脳神経系の発達と母乳のガングリオシドの研究:脳神経系の 発達と感染防御への関与。新しいガングリオシドやオリゴ多 糖類の研究。
  2. 難治性てんかんの研究: 皮質異形成における,DNA 変異や遺伝的背景による発生機序の分子生物学的解析。発作波のてんかん焦点の検出・波及・病巣切除範囲の検討。
  3. 新生児・未熟児の中枢神経系の発達および自律神経機能の研究。
  4. アレルギー性疾患に対する免疫応答の分子生物学的特性と新治療法開発。
  5. 小児悪性疾患,特に神経芽腫や急性白血病,脳腫瘍,血管系腫瘍における腫瘍細胞の遺伝子発現,ガングリオシドの解析による予後,微小残存腫瘍,凝固線溶系の評価。
  6. 神経調節性失神・先天性心血管疾患の脳循環動態。川崎病とサイトカイン分析。
  7. 小児内分泌疾患:下垂体性小人症,糖尿病,クレチン症,橋本病,肥満症。
  8. 子どもメンタルクリニック―児童精神科:広汎性発達障害,注意欠陥多動障害,学習障害,摂食障害,自傷行動他
Contributions to the health and development of children.
  1. Ganglioside analysis and its biological characterization in brain and nerve, and human milk: a) Clinical availability of human milk in the prophylaxis of infection and brain development. b) Characterization of novel gangliosides and oligosaccharides in human milk.
  2. Intractable epilepsy in pediatric patients: a) Moleculo-biological analysis of the DNA and the genetic contribution of cortical dysplasia. b) Clinical detection of the epileptic foci of clinical seizures, and the evaluation of the areas of epileptic lesions and the areas of lesionectomy, with EEG, MRI and SPECT.
  3. Autonomic function and brain development by means of cranial ultrasonography, MRI and autoregressive analysis of EEG and polygraphy.
  4. The moleculo-biological characterization of immunoreaction in allergic disease and the development of novel immuno- therapy.
  5. Evaluation of prognosis minimal residual tumor and coagulo- fibrinolytic system in childhood malignancies, especially neuroblastoma, leukemia, brain tumor and hemangioma by the analysis of tumor genes and gangliosides.
  6. Cerebral circulation in neurally mediated syncope and congenital cardiovascular disease. Kawasaki disease and its cytokine study.
  7. Pediatris endocrinopathy: pituitary dwarfism, DM, cretinism, Hashimoto thyroiditis and obesity.
  8. Child Mental Clinic-Child Psychiatry: Rervasive developmental disorder, AD/HD, learning disorder, eating disorder, self-injurious behaviors and other psychiatric problems in infancy and childhood.
