Ekronarongchai

Preem: Beyond the research knowledge, Oita is a peaceful city surrounded by beautiful scenery such as cherry blossoms, a lot of mountain views, wonderful places like Yufuin and Beppu, nice weather, and cold temperatures. Not only the scenery but cuisines and fruits here are also very delicious. About restaurant, I really recommend Yotsuba and Yamanami because their foods are good and have reasonable prices that are very suitable for university students. Moreover, every sensei and senpai is very nice, friendly and always helps me to learn a lot of things that I never knew before. I really appreciate it and I will always cherish these friendships and memories from this one-month exchange program forever.

I feel immensely honored to have the opportunity to study and observe here at this university, Oita University. Both the professors and senior students are very kind. They warmly welcome us. The university is situated amidst natural beauty, which makes the surroundings incredibly serene. Not only is the scenery beautiful, but the university buildings themselves are also stunning. The hospital, classrooms, and research buildings are all equally impressive. There is a plethora of research equipment available here, making it ideal for those interested in research work. Overall, I am very happy to have had the chance to study and observe here. I hope that those who read this will have the opportunity to experience the same wonderful experiences as me. Thank you.

Rally: During research practicing at Oita University's Department of Cell Biology, I had the opportunity to experience numerous wonderful things. It was an honor to have a chance to work with Hanada-sensei Shiraishi-sensei, Shimizu-sensei and other members in the lab. Their unwavering kindness, thoughtfulness, and assistance greatly contributed to my learning experience. Throughout my time there, I acquired invaluable knowledge, particularly in research techniques such as PCR ,Gell electrophoresis, Bacteria transformation pertinent to the field of cell biology, which I believe will greatly benefit my future career endeavors. Furthermore, The warmth and hospitality extended by both the university community and students there further enhanced my stay. Interactions with Oita students were particularly welcoming, as their generosity and support eased the transition into a new and unfamiliar environment. I am grateful to both the professors and students for their guidance and friendliness , which significantly contributed to my comfort and sense of reassurance during my time at Oita University. Moreover, Oita University boasts a serene ambiance, complemented by the beauty of its surroundings. Beyond Oita, the other cities on Kyushu Island have left an memorable impression on me. My favorite spot is Yufuin standing out for its charm and captivating array of shops. In the future if i have a chance , i am definitely going to revisit here again.

Tutor-kun Preem-san and Rally-san, second year medical students at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand, joined us on April 1st. They participate in our program of research training. Tutor-kun studys on autoimmune diseases using mouse models with Nan-san in our lab. Preem-san joined R.Hanada's Lab and Rally-san joined T. Hanada's lab.

April 3rd: Tutor, Preem and Rally made a courtesy call on the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Inomata.

Students from the Faculty of Medicine of Mahidol University interact with students from the Faculty of Medicine of Oita University. They meet every evening to discuss various topics.

On Sunday, April 7th, Yuri Shiina guided students from the Faculty of Medicine of Mahidol University to Yufuin.

We saw water fall, Ryushonotaki, in Shonai town. We then visited Yufuin town where we saw the Kinrinko lake and visited the Tenso shrine. We went shopping on the Yunotsubo-kaido street.

On April 9, Dr. Uchida presented his data research on H. pylori in Thailand for Thai students.

April 11: They visited the Department of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine, where they were briefed by Dr. Kurosawa on how to operate the Doc Helicopter.
On April 15th, Tutor, Preem and Rally paid a courtesy call to the president of Oita University, Dr. Seigo Kitano.
President Kitano briefed the students on his work in Thailand as an endoscopic surgeon.

Let's have a SUSHIRO party!!!!
