On August 20, the third mini symposium (online) was held between the Oita University and Chulalongkorn University in Thailand. The 1st meeting was held in Oita in 2019 and the 2nd meeting was held in Bangkok in 2020. The 3rd meeting was held online due to the pandemic of COVID-19 this year. The Faculty of Medicine, Oita University and the Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University established a MOU in 2019. Kobayashi’s lab has had international academic exchanges with Palaga’s lab. The symposium was subtitled as "Spotlight on the Microbes and the Immune System" including Plenary Lectures, Keynote Presentations, Young Researcher Presentations and Grad Student Presentations. Prof. Akira Nishizono (Oita University) and Assoc Prof. Asada Leelahavanichkul have been invited as speakers for Keynote Presentation. Glad students not only presented their data but also chaired the session as a chairperson. About 50 participants including faculties and students of both Universities attended the symposium, and actively discussed all day long. |
