2025年10月14日、東京大学医科学研究所の近代医科学記念会にて、第3回「温泉免疫研究会」が開催されました。今回は、対面とオンラインのハイブリッド形式で実施されました。 会場には、東京大学医科学研究所の石井健先生、林先生、大阪大学先端化粧品科学共同研究講座（マンダム）の齋藤先生、藤田先生、原先生が参加されました。オンラインでは、京都大学皮膚科学教室の椛島健治先生、大分大学感染予防医学講座の神山君、佐知さん、八尋君などが参加しました。 前回の研究会で実施したサンプリングの解析結果が齋藤先生より発表され、その非常に興味深い内容に、参加者一同大きな関心を寄せました。椛島先生からは結果の解釈に関するコメントに加え、今後の研究の進め方について貴重なアドバイスをいただきました。八尋先生からは、別府市との産学官連携研究の推進についての報告がありました。 最後に、石井先生より今後の第4回以降の研究会の方向性についてご意見をいただき、活発な意見交換が行われました。当初は「ほっこりした会」として始まった本研究会ですが、今回は興味深いデータに皆がワクワクし、まさに「別府温泉よりも熱い」研究会となりました。

　On October 14, 2025, the 3rd Balneoimmunology Research Meeting was held at the Medical Science Museum of the Institute of Medical Science, The University of Tokyo, in a hybrid format combining on-site and online participation. At the venue, Prof. Ken Ishii and Dr. Hayashi from the Institute of Medical Science, along with Dr. Saito, Dr. Fujita, and Dr. Hara from the Collaborative Research Laboratory of Advanced Cosmetic Science (Mandom) at Osaka University, took part in the meeting. Online participants included Prof. Kenji Kabashima from Kyoto University and members from Oita University’s Department of Infectious Disease Control — Dr. Kamiyama, Dr. Sachi, and Dr. Yahiro. Dr. Saito presented the analysis results from the sampling conducted during the previous meeting, which drew great interest and excitement among the participants. Prof, Kabashima provided insightful comments on the interpretation of the results and offered valuable advice on future research directions. Dr. Yahiro reported on ongoing industry–academia–government collaborative research efforts with Beppu City. Finally, Professor Ishii shared his views on the direction of the research meeting beyond the fourth session. The meeting fostered lively and meaningful discussions. What initially began as a relaxed and friendly gathering has now evolved into an exciting and intellectually stimulating research forum — truly becoming “hotter than the Beppu hot springs.”
