2025年11月1–2日　医学部祭 医療展にて「留学のすゝめ」と「寄生虫展」を開催

― 学生主体の展示を当講座がサポート ―

　2025年11月1日（土）・2日（日）に開催された大分大学医学部祭において、医療展で学生による2つの展示企画「留学のすゝめ」と「寄生虫展」が行われました。本講座はこれらの学生企画をサポートしました。

（１）留学のすゝめ
　本企画では、海外での臨床実習や研究留学を経験した学生たちが、後輩に向けて体験談を発表しました。 ６年生の轟木くん、大坪さん、石井さんは、本学と協定を結ぶフィリピン・サンラザロ病院での臨床研修について報告しました。 また、５年生の椎名さん、４年生の吉良さん、後藤さん、松田くんは、研究室配属期間にタイおよびドイツの協定校での留学体験を紹介しました。 発表では、英語学習のコツ、海外生活の工夫、現地での医療の違いなど、実践的なアドバイスが多数語られ、これから留学を希望する後輩たちからも多くの質問が寄せられました。
（２）寄生虫展

　 学生が中心となり、食べ物を介して感染する寄生虫をテーマに標本を展示しました。回虫、アニサキス、日本海裂頭条虫、ランブル鞭毛虫などの標本が並び、来場者は興味深く観察していました。 一般の方々も多数来場し、医学生による丁寧な解説に熱心に耳を傾けていました。特に子どもたちは黒板にランブル鞭毛虫の絵をたくさん描くなど、楽しみながら寄生虫の世界に触れていました。 実際の標本展示や顕微鏡観察体験を通して、訪れた学生や地域の方々は寄生虫の生態や感染症予防について学び、医科学の奥深さを実感する機会となりました。 今年も、学生主体の企画を通じて、医療への関心と学びの輪が広がる有意義な医学部祭となりました。

November 1–2, 2025 — “Study Abroad Experience” and “Parasitology Exhibition” at the School Festival in Oita University Faculty of Medicine

On November 1–2, 2025, the annual School Festival at the Faculty of Medicine was held at Oita University.
During the Medical Exhibition, two student-led projects, “The Experiences of Studying Abroad” and “The Parasitology Exhibition,” were presented with support from our department.

(1)The Experiences of Studying Abroad
Senior students Mr. Todoroki, Ms. Otsubo, and Ms. Ishii shared their experiences from clinical clerkships at San Lazaro Hospital in the Philippines, one of our university’s partner institutions. Fifth-year student Ms. Shiina and Fourth-year students Ms. Kira, Ms. Goto, and Mr. Matsuda also presented about their short-term research training at partner universities in Thailand and Germany. They spoke passionately about language learning strategies, living abroad, and the differences in medical education and healthcare systems. The session inspired many junior students, who actively asked questions and expressed interest in studying abroad.

(2) Parasitology Exhibition
Led by students, this exhibit focused on food-borne parasites, featuring specimens of Ascaris, Anisakis, Diphyllobothrium nihonkaiense, and Giardia lamblia. Many visitors from the community attended and listened attentively to explanations from medical students. Children enthusiastically drew pictures of Giardia on the blackboard, enjoying a fun and educational experience. Through hands-on specimen observation and microscope viewing, participants learned about the fascinating diversity of parasites and the importance of infectious disease prevention.

This year’s festival once again provided a valuable opportunity to promote medical education and community engagement through student-driven initiatives.
