| On November 11, 2025, a delegation from Chulabhorn International College of Medicine, Thammasat University in Thailand, led by Dean Peerapong Kitipawong, M.D., visited the Faculty of Medicine at Oita University. During the visit, representatives from both institutions exchanged views on the current status of educational and international collaboration activities and engaged in active discussions on future possibilities for academic and student exchange. In particular, both sides expressed mutual interest in promoting undergraduate student exchange programs, admission of doctoral students under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship program, and the development of double degree programs at the graduate level. The delegation was received by Prof. Yoshio Yamaoka, Vice President for International Strategy, Prof. Takashi Kobayashi, Vice Dean for Research, Department of Infectious Disease Control, and Mr. Tomohisa Uchida from the Oita University Bangkok Office. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen the foundation for future academic and research collaboration between the two universities. Oita University Faculty of Medicine will continue to enhance its partnerships with Thammasat University and other partner institutions in Thailand, promoting fruitful international cooperation in areas such as student exchange, graduate education, and joint research. During the next visit to Thailand, representatives from Oita University are planning to visit Thammasat University to further discuss these collaborative initiatives. |
