水上一弘教授 就任記念祝賀会が開催されました（2月11日）

Commemorative Celebration for the Appointment of Professor Kazuhiro Mizukami (February 11)

　On February 11, a commemorative celebration was held at the Rembrandt Hotel Oita in honor of the appointment of Professor Kazuhiro Mizukami to the Department of Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Oita University. Professor Mizukami assumed the professorship last year, and this special occasion was organized to celebrate his new leadership. The event was attended by more than 200 guests, including university faculty members and hospital affiliates. Congratulatory remarks were delivered by President Kitano, Former Professor Murakami, Dean Inomata of the Faculty of Medicine, Former Hospital Director Kadota, and Hospital Director Ihara, each expressing their expectations and encouragement for Professor Mizukami’s future endeavors. The Department of Infectious Disease Control has maintained a longstanding collaborative relationship with the Department of Gastroenterology since the tenure of Former Professor Murakami, during which 4 graduate students were sent to the department. Together, we have conducted joint research on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). In addition, Professor Mizukami has collaborated with our department on research related to Anisakis, and we presented our findings at the Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Parasitology in Sapporo. Professor Mizukami is a charismatic leader who naturally attracts and inspires people, and he is well suited to lead a major department. We sincerely look forward to continuing and further strengthening our collaborative research with his department in the years to come.
