Gathering with Former Graduate Student Dr. Sonoda (April 8)
On April 8, Dr. Sonoda, a former graduate student in our department who now works as a gastroenterologist in the Kanto region, returned to Oita to give a lecture. Taking this opportunity, Professor Mizukami of the Department of Gastroenterology, along with Ariki, Ozaka, and Kagoshima, who earned their doctoral degrees in our department, and Terashi, a gastroenterologist who joined our graduate program this year, gathered for a dinner. It was a great opportunity to catch up after some time apart. Conversation flowed easily as they shared updates on their clinical work, research, and life after graduate school. Although they are now working in different places, the gathering was a reminder of the lasting connections built through research and graduate studies in our department. |
