Faculty Members from the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Mahasarakham University, Visit Oita University School of Medicine (August 7)
On August 7, six faculty members from the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Mahasarakham University (MSU), Thailand, visited Oita University School of Medicine. At MSU, Fai (Benjawan Saechue) and Eve (Hanyakorn Chalalai), both of whom previously studied in our department and obtained their degrees at Oita University, are now actively involved in education and research as faculty members. This visit was led by Fai and Dr. Sukanya Leethongdee, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, together with four other faculty members. During their visit, the delegation toured research facilities at the School of Medicine, followed by an academic seminar given by Fai. They also paid a courtesy visit to Professor Masashi Inomata, Dean of the School of Medicine, where they exchanged views on future academic collaboration between the two universities. In the evening, the visiting faculty members joined members of the Department of Infectious Disease Control for dinner. Through informal conversations about research and education, they further strengthened their friendship and academic ties. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to further strengthen the relationship between MSU and Oita University and highlighted the important role that former students can play in connecting the two institutions. We look forward to further developing academic collaboration between the two universities in both research and education. |
