南開大学との合同シンポジウムを開催しました（2025年6月18日） |

| 2025年6月18日、中国・南開大学の研究者および大学院生をお招きし、大分大学にて合同シンポジウムが開催されました。本シンポジウムは、大分大学グローカル感染症研究センターの三室仁美教授の主催で行われ、国際的な学術交流と若手研究者の育成を目的としています。南開大学からは、Dr. Jun Zhou、Dr. Sei Yoshida、4名の大学院生が参加し、大分大学からも多くの教員・学生が参加しました。 |  |
| 今回は、大分大学から7件、南開大学から6件のオーラルプレゼンテーション、大分大学から9件のポスタープレゼンテーションが行われ、活発な意見交換が行われました。感染予防医学講座からは、小林隆志教授が 「Investigating the Role of Chemokine Networks in Multiple Sclerosis: Insights from CCL20, CCL9, and ZIKV-Exacerbated EAE Models」 という演題でオーラルプレゼンテーションを行い、多発性硬化症の病態におけるケモカインの役割に関する最新の研究成果を発表しました。また、神山長慶准教授はポスタープレゼンターとして、 「Zika virus induces T cell-attracting chemokines in the central nervous system and exacerbates experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis」 と題した研究成果を発表し、ZIKVによる神経炎症のメカニズムについて知見を共有しました。 シンポジウム終了後には懇親会が開催され、日中の研究者・学生が研究分野を越えて自由に語り合い、互いの理解を深める有意義な交流の場となりました。本シンポジウムは、今後の国際共同研究のさらなる発展を期待させる機会となりました。 | |

Joint Symposium with Nankai University Held at Oita University (June 18, 2025) On June 18, 2025, Oita University hosted a joint academic symposium with researchers and graduate students from Nankai University, China. The symposium was organized by Professor Hitomi Mimuro of the Research Center for Global and Local Infectious Diseases to promote international collaboration and the development of young scientists. From Nankai University, Dr. Jun Zhou, Dr. Sei Yoshida, and four graduate students participated. From Oita University, many faculty members and students also joined the event. In total, the symposium featured 7 oral presentations from Oita University, 6 from Nankai University, and 9 poster presentations from Oita University, sparking lively scientific discussions. From the Department of Infectious Disease Control, Professor Takashi Kobayashi gave an oral presentation titled: "Investigating the Role of Chemokine Networks in Multiple Sclerosis: Insights from CCL20, CCL9, and ZIKV-Exacerbated EAE Models," highlighting recent findings on the role of chemokines in multiple sclerosis. Associate Professor Chokei Kamiyama presented a poster titled: "Zika virus induces T cell-attracting chemokines in the central nervous system and exacerbates experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis," sharing insights into ZIKV-induced neuroinflammatory responses. Following the symposium, a social gathering was held, offering participants from both universities the opportunity to interact beyond academic topics.
