指導教員:花田礼子教授 【comments】 Preem: Beyond the research knowledge, Oita is a peaceful city surrounded by beautiful scenery such as cherry blossoms, a lot of mountain views, wonderful places like Yufuin and Beppu, nice weather, and cold temperatures. Not only the scenery but cuisines and fruits here are also very delicious. About restaurant, I really recommend Yotsuba and Yamanami because their foods are good and have reasonable prices that are very suitable for university students. Moreover, every sensei and senpai is very nice, friendly and always helps me to learn a lot of things that I never knew before. I really appreciate it and I will always cherish these friendships and memories from this one-month exchange program forever. |

Hello, my name is Wilasinee Boonpoo. I’m studying Veterinary Science from Mahasarakham university. I’m assigned to Cell biology lab on 5th floor. First, I wanted to mention about workplace environment that I like. Everyone creates a comfortable and encouraging atmosphere for me to study and do the experiments. I’m also thankful for the support from Shimizu sensei and students (nana-san, wang-san, akiko-san, lai-san) as well. Sensei always took care of me and taught me so well. The students took me to places and enjoyed the quality time together. Miki-san always suggested me good stuffs to try in oita. Secondly, the experiment that I’ve done here is practically useful for my study in the future. To see all the methods, the steps and be able to have a chance to do it myself is unbelievably exciting and interesting. It’s a precious memory that I’ll never forget. Thanks to Oita university for giving me such an important opportunity. Thank you very much. |

I had a great time interning at the Oita University in Japan. I was there for 5 weeks and it was a memorable experience. Everyone was so welcoming to me and taught me a lot of new laboratories skills. I was assigned to two lab and both professors were very nice to me. I made a lot of friends there both in the lab and out of the lab. Most students there have their own club which is quite interesting and I did have time to visit some of the club where my friends are involved. The dormitory provided was so convenient and a lot of facilities were very new. It was a great opportunity for me and I hope to visit again someday. |

I am honored to have the opportunity to study and experiment at Oita University. There are many interesting experiments here. Besides, the professors are all nice and friendly. I have been assigned to the Division of Genome-wide Infectious Microbiology at the Research Center for GLOBAL and LOCAL Infectious Diseases. I have been practicing PCR, gel electrophoresis, genetic engineering, SDS-page and Western blot. I have also learned about Helicobacter pylori and bacteriophages, which is very useful. In addition, transmembrane proteins, which are important for infections and immunology, are one of the exciting lessons I want to learn more about. I had the opportunity to observe the animal infection experiment, which was very exciting! I am grateful to Mimuro sensei, Miyoshi sensei and all the lab members (Sujeet-san, Silvia-san, Mahboubeh-san, and Naomi-san) for welcoming me so warmly and teaching me the techniques. I will cherish these memories. The city of Oita has a beautiful landscape that I find stunning. I have been to Yufuin and Beppu. The Japanese food, the sea and the mountain views here really impressed me. The weather here is perfect, even though it was the rainy season when I arrived. The trip to Japan allowed me to learn more about Japanese culture and exchange with many people. Many thanks to Oita University for this much appreciated opportunity.
