Fall prevention
  • While in the hospital, you may be more likely to fall than expected due to changes in your environment and a decrease in muscle strength and stamina. Because hospital floors are harder than at home, falls can lead to injuries and fractures, which can affect your ability to receive proper medical care. Discuss preventive measures with your nurses in order to ensure a safe and secure hospital stay. Please consult the nurse if you need to be accompanied when walking or moving at any time.

※If you spill water or tea on the floor, it may cause you to slip. Such spills must be removed immediately.

Choose safe footwear

Hospital floors are hard and slippery, so it is recommended to use shoes with no heels and a non-slip surface.

You can buy such shoes at the hospital store.

Prevention of infection

Hand-washing / Sterilization

  • Disinfect your hands (wash your hands) before eating, after going to the bathroom and when you return from an inspection or the store. Family members are also asked to sanitize themselves during visits.

※Disinfectant contains alcohol and should not be used if you have skin problems.

Cough etiquette

  • If you cough or sneeze, cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or handkerchief. Alternatively, wear a mask whenever possible.
  • Use tissues for cleaning sputum and nasal discharge and dispose of them in the nearest trash can after use.
  • Always wash your hands with soap and tap water after touching contaminated items, such as cough and sputum.

Regarding visitors

  • Visitors with symptoms of a cold, flu, or infectious gastroenteritis (such as diarrhea) will be strictly denied entry. Visitors are asked to please disinfect their hands before and after their visit using the disinfectant available at the entrance to the ward. In addition, please refrain from inviting small children to visit.

What to bring in

  • Please do not place items directly on the floor while in the hospital. Please do not leave your belongings on the floor while you are in the hospital. If you leave your belongings on the floor, dust will accumulate, making it impossible to clean them properly.
  • Fresh flowers may not be brought in.

Patient support system
  • The hospital has a support system in place to help patients and their families with a variety of consultations. If you would like to make a request, please contact the Patient Advisory Service.
Depending on the nature of the consultation, the department in charge will be able to help you.
