Head of department

Introduction of clinical department

The Department of Neurosurgery treats cerebral vascular diseases, including aneurysm, cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral infarction, or moyamoya disease. All neurosurgical treatments including endovascular treatment have good results. We treat all brain tumors and safely remove large, deep, and skull base tumors using navigation and monitoring systems. For malignant gliomas, we provide postoperative chemotherapy that considers resistance genes and pharmacokinetics, and multidisciplinary treatment with radiosurgery to emphasize QoL. We provide treatments in the fields of spinal cord and spine surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, and surgery for pain and epilepsy. For acute severe head trauma, we provide hypothermia therapy in collaboration with the Department of Anesthesiology.
