Introduction of clinical department

Both outpatient and inpatient units in the obstetrics and gynecology clinic include sections for maternal–fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, and reproductive medicine. Specialties in the maternal–fetal medicine section include high-risk pregnancies, complicated pregnancies, prenatal diagnosis, operations during pregnancy, as well as normal uncomplicated pregnancies. Specialties in the gynecologic oncology section include preoperative diagnosis, operations, chemotherapy, irradiation therapy, and follow-up after those treatments. In particular, we emphasize minimally invasive surgery for patients with gynecologic diseases and perform laparoscopic surgery for benign and malignant tumors. Moreover, we have used robotic surgery for uterine cancer since 2019. Specialties in the reproductive medicine section include contraception, menstrual disorders, infertility, menopause, and osteoporosis. As a special medical treatment in reproductive medicine, we perform assisted reproductive technologies (ARTs), such as in vitro fertilization–embryo transfer (IVF-ET) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
