Introduction of clinical department

In the Department of Neuropsychiatry, we diagnose depression, bipolar disorder, dementia, schizophrenia, anxiety disorder, developmental disorder, among others. Moreover, we treat these psychiatric patients in our outpatient clinic and/or psychiatric ward. Specifically, one of the most important roles of an university hospital is to treat refractory psychiatric patients and those with physical complications.

We also provide outpatient occupational therapy, a return-to-work program, and psychotherapies, such as mindfulness psychotherapy, cognitive behavior therapy, and/or existential approaches as needed.


Advanced treatments/ Specialized treatments

  1. Clozapine treatment for treatment-resistant schizophrenia.
  2. Modified electroconvulsive therapy (m-ECT) in treatment-resistant psychiatric disorders.
  3. Bright light therapy for depressive states.
  4. Use of gray sunglasses to alleviate hypomanic states.
  5. Return-to-work program for restoration.
